the end
Havent been blogging recently coz i have been rather busy. today marked the end of majority of my committments aside from schoolwork.
morning = band investiture. finally handed over the baton to j1s and wish they ll have a successful year ahead.
evening = piano concert. firstly, thanks to all that have come to support me. suang. zhaomeng. rachel. yiliang. etc etc. and my family. all the rehearsals have been worthwhile. and thankfully i did not fumble and crumble on stage.
oh wells...feeling rather emo now coz it finally dawned on me that my music would not play such a significant role in my life anymore. have been playing the piano since 5 and it has since been part of my life. rising up the grades and getting my diploma had been my goals and i am glad to have reached them. this concert was organized by my diploma piano teacher and it was symbolic of a concluding statement. having stopped my formal lessons with him after my diploma exam last Nov, the remaining rehearsals till today were all focused on today's performance. so, lovely fairytale ending.
also, after band investiture, i realized that there is no more learning and playing music as a CCA and i would certainly miss that, having been in CO for 4 yrs and band for 2 yrs. it was certainly enriching.
looking back, i wld like to thank a few pple that have made an impact in my 12 years of discovering music as a passion.
Miao Qiong Lao Shi - piano teacher (grade 1 - 8)
Mr. Lim kee poh - piano teacher (diploma)
Ms Lim Sihui - RICO teacher-ic
Mr Takehiro Oura - RJCSB conductor
ok finish emo-ing, on a aside, i realized i have been neglecting friends (like phang - why r u so emo also??) recently due to my heavy rehearsal schedules and band practs so now's time to catch up with them and at the same time, hopefully i can prepare my CT2 well enough given the 4 wks break, even though probability of finishing all the revision in 4 wks follows a Poisson distribution (rare event of success).
Hols everyone. enjoy and study hard.
