I've been thinking. What is the purpose of life? Why do we exist?
A person is born as a baby. He learns to eat, sleep, crawl and make noise. Later on he becomes a toddler. Then he starts to walk and make even more noise. Then he becomes a kid and starts chattering non-stop and continually does things which irritate his parents. Then he becomes a teenager and then an adolescent and then an adult.
What are we supposed to do with our lives? It's intriguing really to see how intertwined the whole world is, how everyone's lives overlap and how things here affect things there. However, that does not change the question? Why are we studying so hard now? To get grades? One's grades are nothing more than a drop in the ocean, a minute small trivia that barely affects the world. Why do people work so hard? Is it because they need to make a living and bring home the bread and butter to feed their family members whom they care so much about? Yet, we are all going to vanish someday.
Maybe you say you want to make a difference in the world. Like invent some new super machine that has goodness-knows-what capablities. Assume that you get your wish and that you really change the lives of others for the better. Does it really matter that much?
Emptiness.
