Here's a muse about beauty. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Ok so maybe that isn't exactly the most astonishing statement of the year and it sounds very cliche but what the heck I think it's true.

In my opinion, beauty can be divided into two categories - conventional beauty and unconventional beauty. Beauty can also be divided into other categories - for example cute, hot and pretty. Uh I just want to say that I'm not making any particular references here.

Anyway, on to the main point. I believe many people focus on conventional beauty. They, and by they I mean the general male population, believe a beautiful girl to hold true to the stereotype of long hair, skinny frame and pretty face. I mean, this is pretty crappy. I believe that there is no definite criteria for beauty. By this I mean the standards which we judge the opposite sex will always differ from person to person. Of course, this is because each person has his own taste and preference and it is impossible to impose a one-size-fit-all definition of beauty because it simply will not work. So, basically the idea that I am trying to put across is that just because a girl is not perceived to be beautiful by many people, it does not mean that she is not beautiful at all; rather it is the case that her features appeal to many people and not the case that her features do not appeal to everybody.

As you all can see, there is no such thing as an un-pretty girl but only a girl who is not appreciated by the general public for her appearance. Yay. Ok all you girls can start clapping now.

Well there's still a bit of time left to be friendlier to various people. Apparently I am supposed to wave and smile at everybody I know. Well some people can do it and some people aren't that used to it.

I just hope that it won't be a gutter ball.

Time has passed so quickly this year. Almost 1 month is gone already. 9 more mths to dreaded 'A's. During assembly talk today, mr hodge told us to find time to do other things aside from school stuff. Hais how i wish i could but the work that is piling up at my workdesk isnt helping much =S... I realized i am alot behind the rest of the class in Vectors. Couldnt do the tutorials at all.

This afternooon while walking to Varese room with ben goh. Saw quite a number of groups of either J1 OGs or classes happily playing captains' ball and sitting in a circle playing godknowswat. we both went "hais j1 life so good..." but then again, we were thinking. it's week 4 already leh. did we honeymoon for such a long period last year?? no right? haha oh wells maybe slack and fun times do pass quicker than we know they do.

only 4 weeks into term 1 and all the work tat's coming in. hais and SAT. Shldve taken the December one instead, but naively thought that 1st month of the year's workload shouldnt be too heavy to handle extra SAT, so decided to enjoy hols 1st. hais hou4 hui3 (regret) ar....

It's quite ridiculous. Really ridiculous. Running shoes are really ridiculous. All the running shoes that I saw today were ridiculously priced. And I'm being serious about it. How can all running shoes be priced above 100 dollars?

Running shoes are meant for running. Which means that that they are stepped on. Who pays over 100 dollars for something you step on? I was looking for a pair between 70 to 100 dollars but I think it's quite impossible to find one. What the heck.

Aasics shoes are all above 100 dollars. In fact the average Aasics shoe is about 150 dollars. So you think forget Aasics. Well, New Balance is equally good. At setting high prices that is. Their shoes are also around the same price range, averaging 140 dollars a pair. Never mind you say. Adidas also can. Well it turns out that the Adizero range is expensive. The cheapest is 129 dollars and the nicer looking ones are 169 or 179 dollars. The currency by the way, is Singapore money. Yes.

Wow.

There are some things which can't be replaced. I think maybe a diary is one of them. Ok this is going to sound stupid but even though a blog is supposed to be an online diary it's not really an online diary because a diary is supposed to be personal and people can see everything that you blog about so it doesn't really make much sense to treat a blog as a diary.

I know some people who have been keeping diaries for the longest time. Lol ok they are all girls but that's not the point.

I wonder how much money blogger is making from everyone blogging.

Well it's back to school again. And now I have to wake up early and squeeze with hordes of people using public transport.

And it turns out that we had a huge revamp with regard to our academic instructors. Vadi is gone. Turns out that he's staying back to teach half Econs and half TSD. What a weird combination. Anyway I realized what a good CT he was, probably because he hardly made me do anything as CT rep.

Anyway it was nice seeing my classmates again. Well ok I didn't exactly see the councillors but then again I'll see them in a matter of time. Apparently there seems to be much emphasis placed on class bonding. Well well well isn't that just going to be fun.

Let's play a little game today. I'm going to write out descriptions of some people from 07S07A and all of you who read can guess which description belongs to who. Tag on the tagboard haha and we will see who can manage to get all correct. Actually I'm expecting everyone from 07S07A to get them all correct because the descriptions are quite obvious. Oh and I'm going to refer to everybody as it so as not to divulge their gender so don't be offended.

1. One of the sweetest people I know. It has a very nice voice aha and I like talking to it on the phone. One of the first people I talked to when I moved into 07S07A. Likes to go to school early so it's usually the first person to say 'good morning' to me when I enter a classroom.

2. This one is very sociable. Can talk about all kinds of things with it. It has many pretty girl friends.

3. Very nice to everybody around it. Has musical talent. Has an innate ability to fall asleep during classes. Hardly swears and when it does, it abstains from the vulgar words.

4. Opposite from specimen 3. Has a tendency to swear at the slightest provocation and has a preference for using dialect as a means of conveying its feelings. Has no problem expressing its thoughts because most people can hear it from a mile away.

5. This person is very slack. Its favourite hobby is poking fun at people via sarcastic and witty jokes which are sometimes quite funny. Likes to do nothing and waste time. Hardly makes any decision by itself because it usually goes with the flow. Also has a habit of doing things which annoy me.

6. Slightly similar to specimen 4 in terms of its common usage of foul language but different in many other ways. Ok but I think this person has become less crass over time. Easy to carry a decent conversation with.

Ok guys and girls guess which description fits who and tag the names in order.
