2006
This is the 99th post. That leaves 1 more post to the centennial post. My stars. Anyway I'm going to write about 2006 and I think that this is going to be a pretty long entry so bear with it.

Ok so we started the year with orientation. I wasn't exactly looking foward to it then and I didn't really enjoy it either what with all the weird games. I remember we played weird games that I never or hardly played before. Anyway there was one sentence which Keith, my OGL, said which I still remember now. He told us to enjoy the 3 or 4 days of orientation because when school really starts we would be too busy to have fun. Well he was kind of right.

Anyway I got into 07S03G, which was a BCME class. Got into the same class as Benny, Shenglin and Keefe, all from 2G last time. I was pretty happy at the start since I knew some people there already but then again we had 9 girls compared to 19 boys in our class so that wasn't really good. (2 of the girls later changed class) Anyway I wasn't really feeling happy about the class because I didn't really have that many friends there. Oh well.

Then came the arguably most disappointing day of my JC life. I didn't make the football team. I really thought I would make it then the minute I started the trials I knew that I probably would be out. I had to borrow street boots from Marvin and long socks from Bryan to play in the muddy field. I think if they had seen me run in the sprints that day they would never have believed it was me. So right after the running trial I knew it was over. I was pretty disappointed and I still am. It was my biggest wish then and it went poof. I think this is my biggest regret up to date.

Anyway I then changed combination to LHME and I got transferred to A01E. Strangely enough I changed combination again to LCME and then got transferred to 07S07A. To tell the truth, I'm still wondering why in the world I swapped History for Chemistry but then again if I didn't I wouldn't be in 07S07A now. Ok so it's not like 07s07A is the best class in the world but it is a pretty decent class, even though I don't really talk much with some poeple. At least I've got friends there, I hope.

Now that the year has flown past, it has occured to me that there is only 1 year left. I don't know how everything is going to turn out and I don't know what is going to happen to all of us when we finally leave. I only hope that it's not going to happen too soon.

Taiwan
Lol i am back!

wells...before i start on anything. Singapore's TV programmes SUCK! i only realized this after the Taiwan trip. they had like wth 100+ channels. ok some were cable tv channels but it's still damn alot compared to wat we hav...like can count with 1 finger. every night we can hav practically something to watch every minute from 9 - 1+ in the morning. Ytd night reached home and hais....channel 8 channel U channel 5.

Ok...on to happier stuff. Taiwan was a nice place. Lemme list out the good things i rmb
1) ok...as mentioned. TV channels
2) FOOD! 4 night markets we went all rocked! but not enough time to walk ard since it was a tour thingy. sianx
3) CLothes; phang wld be so envious lol china hardly has any shirts/pants suitable for singapore's weather hahaz. Taiwan's weather now is like early winter. So the summer/autumn stuff are like super cheap. n xi men ding hav really fashionable stuff. another plus point; my parents were there to pay muahaha :p
4) scenery...ok...maybe not much. they look ard the same as china scenery except a few more angmoh-ish structures that was built...i think when japan ruled taiwan. Not too sure. No pictures too coz i am lazy to put them on...
5)...i ll add in when i think of more.

on to the not too good memories
1) Bus rides!! HORRIBLE we had like 3/4 hrs of winding mountain roads. 3 pple from our group vomitted. N the tour guide went "Not bad...the last singapore grp got 11" WTH LA! when we reached the top, there was really nice scenery...took some pics...walked ard abit look at trees/plants (oh xuan hong wld love this)...den back down those long winding mountain roads... worth it? personally i dun think so.
2) Theme park. Ok...i admit i had fun at the water slide thingy n pirate ship. But other than tat. There's practically nthg else. There was this winding screw roller coaster thing that looked quite fun but they closed it coz winds were too strong. Overall. Far cry from other theme parks i have gone to.
3) Tour guide. haha tat guy's not bad lar. damn funny. whole day wear red n show thumbs down sign. In case anyone doesnt noe, it means "ah bian xia tai" lol. but at times he's really boring when he talks bout history of taiwan. den u ll see like the whole bus pple sleeping. For me n my brother, we juz plug on our mp3s and doze off.

On another note, taiwan pple (ok i shldnt generalize) my taiwan tour guide seems to hav alot of unhappiness in them/him... not happy with this not happy with tat. but once u look at their pple's passion and desire to get involved in their countries' politics...it's in fact rather scary.
4) Hotel breakfasts. Maybe it's coz we stayed at lousier hotels lar so yah they sux.
5)...

unlike phang, i didnt really miss home from the 2nd night. Maybe it's coz of the tv programmes keeping me awake every night. hais now i miss them.

Anyways for those who dunno. My piano exam was over b4 i went to taiwan. 2 days b4. dun wanna talk much bout how i performed. it was not quite good but i still hope i ll pass lar.

Depressed
I don't know why but I'm in like a really dazed mood now. Strangely, I can't find anything to be happy about.

I'm not too happy about the fact that my handphone cover keeps making strange clicking noises when I press it. I suspect it has something to do with the fact that I kept trying to force the cover open and now I've damaged it. I'm such an idiot. This may be a small thing but then again I'm one who is easily affected by the nitty-gritty bits. People see the big picture but I see the paint-strokes. I'm still very irritated by the fact that I'm the one who damaged it and I'm even angrier because I know that had I left it alone nothing would have happened. Yes, as you can see, I am very perturbed by the fact that I caused my phone cover to make clicking noises when I press the cover down.

This is one of those off-days. I'm missing my classmates and my friends a lot. I'm missing school. Somehow it doesn't feel right when I don't put on that uniform and go to school.

I miss the sarcastic vocal exchanges between Linus and myself and Longkuan's admirable but futile peacekeeping attempts. I miss break times when we sit down together and talk rubbish. I miss the teachers even. Vadi's Economics tutorials peppered with jokes and humour, Mr Kok's serious and caring attitude and even Prakash's lessons sprinkled with the occasional dose of warmness seem so far away now.

Above all, my handphone cover's clicking is still a problem.

I highlighted the characteristics that are true in bold and those that are false in italic. Accurate to a pretty decent extent, don't you think?

I'm talking to Kunda now. Drats it seems somebody has been up to something on my tagboard. Again. Anyway Kunda told me to check the history of the tagboard. More surprises. Lol.

And Jieliang you think I would tag that on my own tagboard you dumb shiat? Lol Daphne you also, stupid shiat. Grawr. Only Lim Min was smart enough. And surprise, no vulgarities or swear words. Aha yes this is a new reaction to an old provocation. Oh well.

Beijing
Yay I'm back from China. Don't think you want to see the pictures that I took and anyway I can't upload them until I figure out how to. Anyway I look pretty much like a robber in most of them with the ski mask and everything else.

Ok I'm going to summarize my trip in a few statements.

1. China was damn cold. Lowest temperature in the day was -5 degrees and highest was 5 degrees. Probably because I went to Beijing and Chengde which is in the northern part.

2. China's historical palaces look about the same. No offence to China people but seriously all the palaces I went to all looked about the same. And I wasn't in any mood to listen because it was so cold.

3. Great Wall is good. Lol, it's quite fun climbing flight after flight of stairs in the freezing cold. Exciting. The problem was getting down. I spent about 2 hours plus climbing up and down the Great Wall and I think it's really cool.

Ok I've summarized everything. Anyway I started missing home like from the 2nd night onwards. I missed Singapore. Should never complain how hot Singapore is after going to Beijing in the winter season.

Anyway yay at least Mervin is smart enough to distinguish the truth (none) from the rubbish on the tagboard.
