That's Life

Channel 8 dramas still have their allure. Haha I remember when they were the focal point of my televsion viewing, when all I ever watched on television were the Channel 8 dramas and repeats of Channel 8 dramas. My all-time favourite show was (and still is) the show about gambling - shuang tian zhi zhun. Haha the one starring Li Nanxing and Zhou Chu Ming and Zoe Tay with all the casinos and the occassional mention of Coral Island. (the place where most of the gambling action took place)

Yeah those were the good old primary school days.

Anyway, I was watching the 9 o'clock Channel 8 drama just now and there was this scene which I thought was quite cool. The girl was crying because she was in debt and going to jail and yah well basically because of a whole lot of other things and then the guy, being the conniving schemer that he was, told the girl that he was willing to jump into the canal to prove his love and the girl bought the whole thing immediately. That's a pretty slick trick isn't it haha. But then all you girls won't fall for it anymore after you've read this lol.

Maybe I should try jumping into a river someday. Of course, must be prepared and wear old ragged clothes haha.
