Movieeeee
I wanna watch a movie! I haven't watched a movie for a damn long time. The last movie I watched was like X-Men 3 I think and that was a really long time ago. But then again, there isnt any cool movie now I think. Why can't they make more Pokemon movies. I didn't catch the last Pokemon Movie... =( (ok I saw it on VCD)

Anyway I want to watch Miami Vice because it looks like the show that is the least worst among all. But actually come to think of it I think better not bceause the movie will set me back by at least 7 bucks.

As can be seen, I'm posting absolute rubbish on my blog once again when I should be sleeping but then again I don't feel like sleeping. Doesn't gibberish rock?

Ok to keep to the idea of gibberish here's a bit of trivia: I think MGS girls are damn pretty zom. Even though there are probably a whole ton of reasons why my theory is warped I still think it holds true and that's good enough.

Lol last piece of nonsense: a joke for you all - There was a frog who went to the fortune teller to ask about his love life. The fortune teller said, "You will meet a pretty girl who will want to know all about you." The frog was very excited and asked, "When will I meet her?" "During her next biology practical."

By the way the two Daphnes I told this to had quite different reactions. Huimei was like '..........................................' and Huilu was like 'and?' =) Zom I'm using excessive smiley emoticons but whatever!

Zom Zom Zom
Hoot that's my new catchphrase! 'Zom'! And I use it 3 in a row so it goes like 'Zomzomzom'! It's much better than 'hoot' because if you say 'hoot' twice in a row you get 'hoothoot', which is the pre-evolved form of Noctowl, so it would only make sense to continue your sentence with 'noctowl'. And since not everybody plays Pokemon, we shouldn't be so insenstive to their feelings and talk about things they don't know about.

Anyway, went out with Leonard How today. Lol, met Encik Gerald Tay Hongzhi on the way. Hoot then we followed him and then met VD, Lossy, Lew Jieliang and 2 other ex-GEPers. Zomzomzom, we got cheated at pool lah. 10.80 1 game, their table made of gold arh? Tmd and we didnt know until the end. What the hell. That busted my budget.

Ok, that summed up my day. By the way other than owning my first 2 games at pool, I screwed up damn badly for all the others. Zomzomzom! =)

Infatuation
Infatuation: Foolish or all-absorbing passion (as defined by dictionary.com, though I really don't agree with it but what the hell)

Infatuation is a really funny thing. It often defies all logic and to other people, it may seem irrational or stupid. Nobody else will ever be as absorbed in the sheer allure of the object of your infatuation. Thus, infatuation really is subject to yourself, for no one else will be able to see things your way.

While infatuation may not be all-consuming, it certainly occupies a substantial percentage of your spare thoughts and often directs you to a common area. Try as you might, it is very often nearly impossible to break free of the shackles and spells cast over you and thus, you might as well accept it. Of course, sometimes the period of infatuation is very short but at other times it is not a passing thing.

I really don't know why but I think I'm infatuated. With the clowns residing in the red half of Merseyside. Even though they take the cake for being the most inconsistent side in the EPL and often produce half-baked displays, (which I attribute to their lack of luck of course) I think I'm still crazy about them. Enough said.

Kudos! to the Internet
Juz read on Yahoo! news that a pair of silbings hav reunited after 65 years after being separated due to the Holocaust in 1941. The lady thought she had lost her brother in WWII but thanks to her internet-savvy grandsons, who went on some database to track Holocaust victims and survivors.

So lesson learnt: Always have grandsons...they'll come in useful most of the time. heh. And Kudos to the Internet!

Was touched while reading the article. after all that happened for the past wk, i was feeling happy that at least on the other side of the world, there's somebody who has gained a brother she thought she had long lost. The brother described the reunion as bitter-sweet, but i guess it's the bitter tat makes the sweet seem even sweeter, though nobody wld want to experience the bitter in the 1st place.

"After 65 years, I have found the sister who I love," Simon Glasberg said Monday in heavily accented English, his eyes filling with tears. "I can't stop kissing her."

And may both of them live happily for the rest of their lives.

I noe this is totally irrelevant, but there's this new single from Stef Sun's new album coming up. heard it on the radio and it's quite nice! so i thot i'll post the lyrics up here. (for those who cant view it, change encoding to Unicode)

雨天 by Stefanie Sun

Wangting's Tag
One. Think of 15 short bits of interesting stuff about yourself. And they've gotta be true.
Two. Come up with 5 false statements regarding yourself, but for fun's sake keep them in the threshold of believability.
Three. Jumble them all up together and list them in any order.
Four. Post them and let people guess which the five false ones are!
Five. Get 5 others to do the same.

1. I have a crush and she's your typical rich, spoilt girl.
2. I would like to be 180 cm tall.
3. I am not stingy.
4. I think that girls from RGS are the prettiest in Singapore.
5. I love going overseas.
6. I never call the game where 23 men chase after a ball 'soccer' but always call it 'football'.
7. When playing the above-mentioned game, my favourite position is right-back.
8. I lie a lot and I'm proud of it.
9. I think that Jolin Tsai is the hottest singer in the Chinese music industry.
10. I remember my NCC days (though not a lot but still yes there were some) with fond memories.
11. Aside from her face, the next thing I look out for in a girl is her legs. (tanned thunder things are hot)
12. I am actually a very nice person if you get to know me well.
13. My favourite cartoon in the whole world is Pokemon - where else do you find cool monsters, a cheesy storyline and the same old clowns toting around for hundred of episodes?
14. I would be happier if our class had more boys.
15. I never watched Sesame Street when I was young because I think that the whole concept of using real people with puppets is dumb and I don't think such shows (Bob the Builder included) should be classified as kid shows.
16. From this point onwards, I no longer support Liverpool FC but rather the motley crew at White Hart Lane aka Tottenham Hotspur FC
17. I would like to highlight my hair blonde or dark brown one day.
18. My favourite artiste is Jay Chou because I think that his bumbling-mumbling vocals are damn cool.
19. I wish that I know how to play a piano because I think that the piano is a classy and elegant musical instrument (unlike the guitar, as can be seen from instances where the girl pours a bucket of water down on the poor chap strumming away at the void deck)
20. I think that SAJC and ACJC have the nicest JC uniform for boys.

Guess on the tagboard!

Bringing Back
Hoot I just got the song 'Sexy Back' by Justin Timberlake from Daphne like a few days ago. Quite outdated I know but at least I got it. It's quite funny because the rhythmn is quite funky and groovy and basically any other synonymn for weird. Anyway the song does kind of grow on you because the more you listen to it the nicer it gets.

I realized that I'm running out of things to blog about. That's not good. Thus, I shall attempt to liven up this post by telling you all a joke, courtsey of Vadi.

Customer: I can't log on the Internet.
Technical Support: Did you get the password right?
Customer: Yes of course, I copied it from my colleague.
Technical Support: All right, what is it then?
Customer: 5 stars.

Going Bonkers
Argh I think I'm going to go mad soon. As Longkuan put it today, he thinks that I'm off my rocker and apparently he's not the only who thinks so. Hoot, I'm becoming even crazier than usual and there's no doubt about it. I've lost the wit and sarcasm and the ability to make caustic remarks that can make people laugh. I think I'm seriously stressed. I actually spent my free periods today not being unproductive.

This is all your fault.

Lest you think the cause is some girl, you're wrong. (this time haha) Sigh, there's only a while more left.

Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle
I just watched the second half of this show just now. Basically the plot is damn dumb and unrealistic and the fight scenes are damn fake but it was good entertainment anyway. Bet you can't guess my favourite character in the show. Hoot, its Boss or Bos or the guy starting with B. He's damn full of shiat hoot.

Anyway I don't understand why Cameron Diaz is the main character. Hoot, she doesn't look that amazing or wonderful as compared to Drew Barrymore who isn't as hot as Lucy Liu. (not to be confused with Lew) Hoot, Chinese girls for the win! Tan Puay Hock would be proud. The only thing is that Lucy Liu has freckles on her face and that's not too good but never mind she's still way hotter than the other two.

The bottom line is that the movie is well worth watching.

Maths
I'm getting my ass owned by Maths. I was doing the AP GP assignment just now and I spent 1/2 an hour looking at the questions and wondering how the hell to start. Thus, I decided to call Linus Lee for help and boy did he get me on the right track. So after a little help from our resident Maths genius and some new-found inspiration, I managed to finish most of the assingment, barring the asterisk question and the two sub-parts of questions. I think I'm a pretty dead duck for Maths now.

Anybody wants to help me? Just in case you ask what's in it for you, the answer is my gratitude.

Oxygen
10 random notes bout Oxygen:
1) Highly electronegative
2) Able to H bond with other H molecules
3) Able to donate lone pair when attached to benzene ring when it exists an -OH grp of course
4) With KMnO4/H2SO4,heat, can break down ethene into CO2 and H20.
5) Exists as -C=O in carbonyl compounds (aldehydes + ketones)
5) Most imptly, Draws the ultra-thin line between a pass and a fail in chem promos After all, O is the most seen letter behind H and C in Org Chem.
6) Essential for respiration
7) Attaches itself to haemoglobin
8) Goes from nose -> lung -> heart -> other parts of the body...gets used up
9) Makes up 22% of the atmospheric gases (not too sure...i think it's 22%...haha...hope my sec1 geog hasnt been returned to jacq sim)

10)Keeps pple SANE!!!

Oh wells...my sudden tribute to oxygen is for two reasons...1stly of course is due to PROMOS being like last den 3 wks away. and dat i studied chem today haha. *pats myself on the back*.

2nd reason is coz i finally realized the importance of oxygen during PW lesson. Extra lesson rather. I was suffocating REALLY. Not that the stuff we were doing were vomit-inducing...not that our mentor is breathing down our necks taking away all the oxygen from us....it's coz we are in the comp lab from 4 - 6...AND THE SCHOOL MANAGEMENT DECIDED TO SWITCH OFF THE ENTIRE BUILDING'S AIR-CONDITIONING AT 5 PM SHARP!!!

how smart...n while everyone else was comfortably clad in PE/CCA Tees....poor me was in full school u....:S dripping sweat lar...not tat the written report draft happily sitting in the computer staring straight at us helped. exceeded the word limit by 1000+ and had to stay back in that bloody furnace till 6+ to shorten it. Well...i muz say everyone in our grp went kinda mad towards the end....mad as in hysterical.

Speaking of computers...had to say we cld've ended earlier without the magical work of lim kai xiong. for god-noes-wat reason, he cursed for our workstation to crash. AND IT REALLY CRASHED! was so tempted to juz swear but got girls ard so...maintain IMAGE haha (unlike phang)...N so everything was to be re-done. =X oh wells...the 2nd station we switched to almost crashed the 2nd time...wth...jinxed or wat...:S I dunno wat got over me...but i started sayang-ing the monitor n everyone started laughing....but miraculously it worked n the workstation went back to normal...i think tat says alot bout RJ comp labs...:S

well...back to the going mad part...to cut a long story short...everyone went high and crazy....after calming down on the way home...i thot i acted like i was drunk juz now...in front of 4 other girls somemore lol...hais...all tat image was gone lar...n kalpana commented "No we arent on drugs yah...we are juz oxygen deprived" haha... was really funny but on a serious note...it was really too stuffy to work. hadnt been really productive. feels like the last time i got stuck in a lift.

Oh wells...so lesson to bring back. Always treasure the oxygen we have ard us. Dun wait till we have lost it den start regretting. {back to mugging}

Studying In School
September holidays shouldn't really be meant for studying. Strictly speaking, the definition of a holiday involves a time where people take time off their busy schedules and engage themselves in recreational activities to relieve stress. Thus, we should rename this week of holidays as the September Studying Week instead, since it would be more apt.

Anyway, let's veer away from the topic of studying. I've come to realize that many mixed blood people are actually freaking pretty. Even if they consisit predominantly of one race and only have minute traces of other races. Hoot. Big cute eyes, soft hair, great complexion, kissable lips, braces... you get the picture. Hoot but then again braces have nothing to do with mixed blood but then again that's not the point. The point is that I saw this damn damn damn pretty girl and thus I'm convinced that mixed blood people are pretty.

I hope you enjoyed my nice little discussion about the prettiness of mixed blood people since I'm not going back there again. Now let's see, Mr Twohill got eliminated tonight. I think it's pretty sad because I was actually rooting for him to win the competition because he has a strong identity, as Ken Lim said. I think Hady Mirza should be OUT. I don't really agree witth the judges and I think he's boring.

Hmms, now let's get back to studying. I realized that Maths is totally owning me. Summation, Binomial Expansion and Power Series are like zomgz. Yes, as far as I'm concerned, you just need to know how to count how many millions of dollars you have, leave the maths to your accountant.

And I've realized that Chemistry is all about answering techniques. You need to know what they want to answer. Especially questions about what boiling points and soublility. Its' all about the intermolecular forces ( id-id, pd-pd and H-bonding) and the extent of it.(number of C - number of electrons or how many OH and X with lone pair there are) Yah totally see I've posted something intellectual here instead of the usual rubbish.

Wake Me Up When September Ends
I think I'm going to die really badly when September ends.

Poem
I was lying on the floor last night and trying to imagine that I was back in the past. Unfortunately, it just didn't work. Thus I got a poem to help me out. I know Prakash gave us this poem to analyze and we also got this poem for our Sec 3 end-of-year CTs. I've never given much thought to it until recently. The last line is really poignant and though I don't have a piano, I think I can relate to it fairly well.

Piano by D.H Lawrence
Softly, in the dusk, a woman is singing to me
Taking me back down the vista of years, till I see
A child sitting under the piano, in the boom of the tingling strings
And pressing the small, poised feet of a mother who smiles as she sings.
In spite of myself, the insidious mastery of song
Betrays me back, till the heart of me weeps to belong
To the old Sunday evenings at home, with winter outside
And hymns in the cosy parlour, the tinkling piano our guide.
So now it is vain for the singer to burst into clamour
With the great black piano appassionato. The glamour
Of childish days is upon me, my manhood is cast
Down in the flood of remembrance, I weep like a child for the past.

Chemistry
There are a million ways to use the word 'chemistry'. For example, you can say that 'there's no chemistry between us.' You also can use the word in another way such as asking 'what's the chemistry behind this?' Yup but I choose to use the word 'chemistry' in the academic context - in other words, the subject that I'm currently immersing myeslf in now.

Hoot I realized after I finally started studying how much I don't know about Chemistry! I didn't even know that all organic compounds break down to C02 and H20 when burnt in oxygen until Daphne told me yesterday. And there are hell lot of reactions to remember, so many that I'm getting swamped. Argh but how? Guank Koon's nick on MSN is a stark reminder to all of us how many days we have left before promos.

I mean Chemistry isn't a bad subject but I've been a bad student. Shiat, I've either been doodling on my notes, sleeping or perving at S07B girls during Chemistry lectures and so I can't blame anybody for being so far behind in Chemistry now. Sometimes I wonder if I would have been better off taking History instead of Chemistry, since History involves a lot of crapping and Chemistry involves a lot of knowledge but then again, it's all water under the bridge and unless the bridge collapses, you won't get a dam to stop the water so it's all pointless talking about the flowing water.

Argh I really really don't want to screw up anymore. Damn it I got U S D C C for my CTs and those are really screwed up results. I'm practically praying for help from above and miracles from anywhere to save myeslf from humiliation.

Singapore Idol Mania
Aha had some Econs makeup lesson this morning in LT3. I thought it was going to be like normal until Leonard How called me and asked me to go sit with him. (we were in the same LT and about 20m away just for your information) Thus, I went to go sit with his class. Unfortunately, it was quite hard to see the screen from so far back so we shifted to the front.

Then, we started talking rubbish for a while. Then I decided to stop talking crap and start listening to Vadi and his presenters. However, my stomach started growling and thus, I wasn't raelly in the mood to listen. So basically I spent half the time willing the clock to move faster. Strangely though, Leonard asked if I was attached aha. Proves that guy doesn't know me well enough because anybody who does will know that I'm not, considering how evil I am to most girls but never mind about that.

Anyway, went out with some of the class for lunch at Thomson Plaza. At first, we saw the set for '有话就说'. I was contemplating going up to voice my views but then decided better not. At Burger King, we saw some of the Singapore Idols!!! At first we saw Joakim Gomez, then we saw Jasmine Tye (she's really really really pretty) and then we saw Jonathan Leong! The guys look less tall in real life and less handsome but Jasmine Tye looks just as pretty! I wanted to go find them after I bought my food but then it was too late because they had disappeared.

Anyway, it turned out that the '有话就说' show was still on by the time we had finished eating and I was seriously thinking about contributing my two cents' worth because they were discussing something about why one should not marry above or below one's social status. I strongly disagree with that! I mean, why can't we marry rich girls? Just because they are richer than us? What kind of logic is that?

Anyway, I still have a headache from practising heading the ball with Bryan Bay and Wei Jie yesterday. (It's part of my plan to become a world-class right-back you see) Anyway, I had a headache from heading the ball so many times and my headache is still here now. Shucks.

Anyway, back to the topic of Singapore Idol. Then again, there's really nothing much more to say.

Football Trivia
I've been playing a lot of football recently. Hoot and I've made up my mind. i'm going to play as right-back from now on. Lol actually when I first started playing I wanted to be a foward and that was until I realized that I didn't have a strong enough desire to score goals at all costs. Then after that I wanted to be a winger until I realized that my crossing wasn't exactly world-class and that it was tiring to run up and down the flank. Thus, I've decided to be a right-back. Which other outfield position is the least tiring, save for the centre-backs (which have to be tall and strong and crazy enough to defend with their lives)? None! Aha! Now comes the hard part, which involves improving my clearing, heading, tackling and defending in general. Hoot! Never mind though, I shall ask Gianluca Zambrotta to coach me!

On a side note, I realized that Lim Min really sounds hell lot like Valval on the phone. (even though I haven't heard Val's voice for dunno how long aha)
