Lol, I realized that I haven't blogged for a long time. Well, that's because I've been preoccupied with other matters and in case you're wondering, only a small portion of them are academic. Haha, even my tution teacher says I give her stress. Anyway, I've been feeling depressed lately and if it weren't for my bestest friends like Ming Sing and Mervin, I'd probably have broken down already. Yup, so a big thanks to all of them. =)
Anyway, I'm not going to veer away from narrative writing and return to my discursive style yet because some things have got on my nerves recently. Yah, there are some things in life which try as hard as you may, you just can't win. Imagine you are playing pool with a free ball and the black ball situated very close to the hole. You take the shot and lo behold, the hole disappears!
It's not like I haven't tried (ok I admit the effort I put in was quite little but many a penny makes a pound so there you have it) but everything I tried didn't work out. I'm using Zapdos to battle and the opponent is Sandshrew. All my Thundershocks, Thunders and electric attacks don't work (assume that Zapdos only has electric moves) even though they are supposedly powerful. Why? It's because Sandshrew is ground type and ground type Pokemon are resistant to electric moves. Now, you might as me to try new tactics and change Zapdos with say, a water type Pokemon. Haha but guess what? Sandshrew actually used Mean Look before that, which means that I can't change Zapdos! Now all I can do is watch Sandshrew take out Zapdos little by little. (I'm assuming that Sandshrew has other types of attacks besides ground attacks because Zapdos is part flying and flying is resistant to ground moves)
You get my point. Sometimes you just can't win.
