That's Life

Ok...I havent blogged for quite long...Well june hols have been quite busy with band practs and PW but somehow i still weaselled out some time out of my pathetic life to watch this new taiwanese drama serial... 爱杀17(Bump Off Lover)...it's supposed to be an idol drama so i was kinda apprehensive when my sis told me it was nice....But it turned out so interesting and exciting that i stayed up till 2+ am to watch it on youtube...Just couldnt stop.

Well...story begins with this rather well-to-do family...Dad's a famous contractor...Mum's a school principal...N what's an idol drama without the youngsters....So there's these pair of twins acted by Angela Zhang Shao Han...1 person acted as 2 roles....her acting was quite good for a singer though...at least she portrayed the drastic differences in the twins....

Twins apparently fought at a poolside when they were six and fell in...Twin A developed asthma while Twin B had since became hydrophobic aka scared of water...So after a series of unfortunate events....Twin A was "killed" when she got pushed down one of the buildings in school and number one suspect was a CHEM TEACHER...number two was her classmate who was madly in love with her...

So police started investigating and of course the Twin B would hav to start investigating on her own with her few kakis....if not no plot right...Den she discovers some very dark secrets about her twin that she never knew about and also some secrets about her parents that tormented her so much....

Plot was exciting and there were thousands of very very unexpected twists throughout the whole 14 episodes....i shant reveal too much as i suppose the series will be arriving in singapore 1/2 to 1 yr later as it always will....All i can say....Good guys turn out bad n bad guys actually turn out to be victims of some form...Kept me glued to the computer for such a long period of time....

Well an interesting concept is that each episode begins with an overall theme which brings to us flashbacks by the dead twin....about her horrible childhood...her distorted mindset and the reasons about why she turned out "her" way....jealousy hypocrisy hatred prejudice fear...Twists and turns and twists and turns....juz when u think u noe who's the real murderer....u realize u are mislead...OMG! So nice thatt i sacrificed one week of my hols to watch it...***** 5 stars! Though youtube's vid quality sucks but good plot + good themes + passable acting = BEST idol drama i have ever since it started....

So...Yups...Alot of very memorable lines from the movie is very reflective of real life adults...how they think how they do things and what matters most to them....some are still ringing in my head now...

Ok....so with the end of the drama serial i believe it marks the start of my mugging for my chem retest two days later :S
