I'm back from my temporary hiatus and here to bring all of you more insightful comments, albeit on a different platform this time. I've shifted home base from http://realistic-madhatter.blogspot.com/ to this present blog, which is a culmination of Mervin's and my efforts.
Since Ming Sing has demanded a substanitial post in exchange for a link from his blog, I will adhere to his request and give my own take on the Question and Answer segment, which I believe was not properly dealt with by the contestants.
1. How do you think Singaporeans can be encouraged to volunteer their time and effort instead of just donating their money?
As the saying goes, time is money, thus by donating money Singaporeans are already donating time.
2. Do you think Singaporeans can slow down to appreciate the music, and why?
I personally haven't gotten around to mastering musical instruments yet, thus there is currently no need to appreciate any music as of yet.
3. What would you say to those who think that all it takes to win is just a pretty face?
If all it takes to win is just a pretty face, why the heck are you having this question and answer session in the first place?
4. If you could choose any song to describe your personality, what song would it be and why? "
二十二" by David Tao. That's because it reflects my yearning to return to my innocent and blissful childhood days.
5. Do you think beautiful women have an unfair advatantage in society today?
Beauty and fairness are subjective, thus there is no definite answer to this question.
6. What do you think of the claim that Singaporeans are much too afraid to lose? Why should we be afraid of something that will never happen?
7. We've seen more women take over as CEOs and presidents of companies but is it still tougher for women than men to reach the top and why?
In order to reach the top, a person needs physical strength and since scientific studies have proven that women are weaker than men in physical attributes, it is obviously tougher for women to reach the top.
8. How do you think this episode (NYP scandal) reflects on the moral and social values held by youths today?
What values?
9. If you were given a chance, what is the law you'd elect or amend in Singapore?
I do not find anything wrong with the rules that I set.
10. What do you think Singapore can do to nurture more world-class athletes?
What she can do to nurture world-class athletes is really quite unncessary since she has me.
